Why would I want a spotter?
Ever hit a shot, swear you saw where it landed, then can't find the ball? With a spotter, you go straight to it. They're already there.
Playing for money or keeping score? Saves you a stroke, and keeps buddies honest on drops.
Will they read greens, pick clubs, or carry our bags?
No. Their focus is tracking shots and marking your ball so you go right up to it. If they have a rangefinder on them they can call yardages, but they won't guess.
